Ali Azmat (42) is a seasoned professional who has UK experience spanning over 10 years. Ali has accumalated over 10,000 runs in the UK and is still hungry to come over and continue to do so.
Azmat is currently also playing first class cricket in Pakistan where he has currently played 63 games averaging 38.75 throughout his career and also chipping in with 25 wickets with a best of 3/3.
The all rounder who is a more then capable left arm spinner has a great reputation in the Manchester area where he has been a pro for 9 of his 10 years in the UK. He made his name playing for Earby CC where he has scored 8,331 runs in 7 years with a highest score of 182*, he has scored 23 hundreds and 52 fifties.
Ali has also been part of Colne CC and Tonge CC where he scored 833 and 937 runs respectively and also chipped in with 74 wickets throughout the two seasons.
Most recently the all rounder played ECB Leicestershire Premier League where despite missing 5 games he still managed to score 519 runs @ 30.35 and took 29 wickets with a best of 6/21.
Ali has spent the 2016 season in Manchester playing for Greater Manchester Cricket League side Stand CC as he helped them gain promotion with an outstanding season scoring 657 runs @ 59.73 with a highest score of 153 along with taking 46 wickets @ 13.43. A fantastic return!
Azmat returned to Stand in 2017 but didnt enjoy as a successful season with the bat due to the weather and his clubs pitch not being the best, he churned out 277 @ 18. With the ball he excelled again taking 46 wickets @ 9.7 with a best of 5/18.
In 2018 Ali played for Greater Manchester league club Swinton Moorside CC where he excelled as the clubs pro, the Pakistani all rounder struck 966 runs @ 53.57 and took 53 wickets @ 14.83. Best figures of 7/44.
In 2019 Ali played for Greater Manchester Premier League club Prestwich CC where he helped them scoring 440 runs @ 24.44 with a highest of 114* along with taking 25 wickets @ 23.56.
Most in 2021, Ali played in the North Staffs & South Cheshire League for Bignall End CC. As a genuine all rounder he managed to finish 5th on the runs and 4th on the wickets for his league which is a great return. He struck 678 runs @ 33.90 and 40 wickets 15.95 including an economy of 3.
Most recently Ali has played Cheshire County League for Congleton CC, playing as a genuine all rounder he has taken over 60 wickets in the 2 seasons, including a best of 6/26. Ali has more then contributed with the bat aswell scoring close to 1000 runs throughout the 2 seasons.
Ali in 2024 made an exceptional contribution on the field, helping Greater Manchester League side Droylsden CC win the league and the cup. Ali showed his genuine All Rounder role scoring 622 runs @ 33, along with 56 wickets @ 13, a best of 5/27.
Azmat is classed as a local player with a british partner and now lives in Crumpsall, Manchester, he doesnt need a visa/flights/accommodation so is only looking for payment per game, a great all rounder for any clubs in Lancashire looking for an all rounder for 2024.
