Ahmed Matloob (31) is a Lancashire based local player who has a had a fantastic last few seasons playing in England. Having being born and bred in Pakistan, he moved to England in 2019.

Ahmed started his career playing half a season for Cawthorne CC in the South Yorkshire Championship, where he helped them gain promotion to the ECB Premier League. Despite only playing a small amount of games he still took 21 wickets @ 15 with a best of 7/37.

Matloob then re-signed for Cawthorne in the ECB Yorkshire Premier League in 2022 (after Covid), he was go on to have a fantastic season where he took an astonishing 71 wickets @ 18 including two five wicket hauls. A proven left arm spinner at premier level.

Ahmed played the 2023 season for Ainsdale in the Liverpool & District competition, despite Ainsdale struggling throughout their season, Ahmed performed well taking 53 wickets @ 18 with a best of 8/32.

Most recently, Ahmed played ECB Greater Manchester League side Heaton CC, Ahmed took 37 wickets  including a best of 5/39. Ahmed was a huge part of the side on and off the pitch.

Matloob is based in Oldham, Lancashire and is now looking for a new club for 2025, hes happy to travel upto 45 minutes from his accommodation, a brilliant asset as a frontline spinner.
