Chamikara Hewage (24) is a young upcoming player currently playing for Sri Lankan Air Force in the Sri Lankan domestic cricket.

An all rounder who bats at the top of the order and can bowl some useful off spin, he grew up playing for Richmond College and performing very well, before moving into first class cricket in 2017/18.

His first class career didnt start the best but then in 2018/19 he had a fantastic season scoring 256 runs @ 64. He scored a fantastic century (142*) against Kurunegala Sports Club. He followed that up with a sparkling 142 off 136 balls to salvage a draw for his team.

Hewage has had a fantastic 3 years in England where he has been a main stay at Oughtibridge CC in South Yorkshire. In the 3 years hes scored 3000 runs @ 40 along with taking 170 wickets @ 14. Including 71 wickets in 2024. Chami also helped Oughtibridge gain promotion in 2024.

Chamikara is now looking for another stint in the UK in 2025 where he would add a great value pro.
